Oh yeaaaaah, fourty-eight hour turnover. Well, supposedly Arthur got it to me Saturday, but I didn’t know I had it until four on Sunday. Either way, it didn’t take me a week, and for that, I am proud.
I’ve gotten to working with a mirror and lamp, using myself as a model. I like the results, though, at some point, I’m going to need better tools. Last Monday, Choking Hazards and two of our most hardcore fans (Read: Arthur, Me, Alex and Ariel) went to Penny-Arcade’s book signing. They put on such a great show. I honestly think they’re more entertaining in person than their comic. Also, the camera guy (for their “reality TV” series) spent a disturbing amount of time focusing on me. Every time I looked over, I was staring down the barrel. Maybe it was the gas mask. I’m sure he had ideas of some kind of clip of me, then a narration from Mike, “Look at this shit. This is a “fan”. These are the sorts of people that come to our stuff.” Then Arthur forced them to sign a picture he drawed. At knifepoint.
I’ll probably color it at some point.
For those of you who couldn’t get enough of Karen, rest assured that we’ve signed up her actor for a second season and she’ll be back next week. Unless it takes us a month.
